The answer is YES!
White Ants bite but only done so if its handled or disturbed. Biting humans on purpose was never a biological choice and response of termites.
Having said that, do not be alarmed, termite bites do not sting but the bites only take them as far as clenching on to your skin.
White Ants prefer to bite and chew on wood and things that can breakdown for food. Termites has mandibles which allow them to take small bites of wood,
